Dr. Meagan Cumming, Registered psychotherapist
Meagan Cumming is the owner of Kemptville Stress Relief Centre and a registered psychotherapist who brings a compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to individual psychotherapy. Through KSRC, Meagan leads a growing team of therapists with diverse specialties, allowing clients to access a wide range of mental health supports tailored to their unique needs.
Meagan provides confidential, non-judgmental care and works closely with each client to create a supportive space for healing, growth, and self-understanding. She recently defended her doctoral thesis, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey and reflecting her deep commitment to learning, research, and evidence-informed practice.
In addition to her psychotherapy work, Meagan is also a trained yoga teacher, which informs her holistic approach to mental health. She integrates an understanding of the mind–body connection into her work, supporting clients in reconnecting with their bodies alongside emotional and psychological healing.
Meagan has experience working with women healing from sexual trauma, and she also supports individuals navigating anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Whether working directly with clients or overseeing care at KSRC, her focus is on providing thoughtful, compassionate, and client-centred support.
Born and raised in Kemptville, Meagan is deeply committed to her community. She is a strong voice for survivors of gender-based violence and leads the annual Take Back the Night March in Kemptville, advocating for safety, awareness, and survivor-centred change. Her leadership at KSRC and her community advocacy reflect a deep belief in care, connection, and meaningful impact — both inside and outside the therapy space.
